|Organizations have critical need to integrate Teamcenter based PLM systems with ENOVIA V6 to better support collaborative processes like part management, change management and release management. However to achieve the required collaboration, it requires significant investments in proprietary integrations that are expensive and difficult to maintain.|
Geometric’s ‘V6 xPDM Adapter for Teamcenter’ offers a ready-to-deploy yet extensible solution to enable exchange of design, engineering data between between Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter and Dassault Systèmes’ ENOVIA V6. It enables coexistence of Teamcenter and V6-based applications by ensuring data synchronization between the two systems.
The Adapter solution is built using native exchange interfaces of Teamcenter (SOA) and V6 (V6 xPDM Interfaces). It supports bi-directional exchange of engineering data like parts, part revisions, relations metadata, documents and design data like product structure, CAD representation and visual representationsThe design data exchange capabilities of V6 xPDM Adapter will help existing CATIA V5 customers using Teamcenter as design data management system, leverage CATIA V6 as their new authoring tool. The Adapter Solution supports bi-directional transfer of CATIA V5 data from Teamcenter to CATIA V6 and back to Teamcenter along with full CAD representations, so that existing Teamcenter based processes for data consumption (DMU, manufacturing planning etc) are fully supported. Engineering data exchange capabilities of V6 xPDM Adapter enables bi-directional exchange of BOM data between ENOVIA V6 and Teamcenter. Users can access useful product information from either system. This feature enables implementation of engineering processes spanning across Teamcenter and ENOVIA V6. V6 xPDM Adapter for Teamcenter’ is available since V6R2013x and supports Teamcenter version 9.1 .
|Geometric has a decade old relationship with Dassault Systèmes, and is a parts of its V6 APs Partner Program. We also have a Foundation Partnership with Siemens PLM Software to build and distribute Siemens PLM’s solutions; thereby ensuring support for the latest releases of V6 and Teamcenter to its customers.|
